The Bangalow Palm inflorescence used to make the versatile Random Weave Baskets is a beautifully textured and tactile basket.  The material is collected at a particular time in the growing cycle, then dried, sorted, soaked and woven.  The Bangalow Palm is indigenous to the Byron Shire so is extremely abundant and available all year round.

It is a soft fibre that is versatile and user friendly.  Choose from the Natural fibre which is totally unprocessed or the Black fibre - where it has been boiled & dyed. 

The Black fibre is limited & may have to be made upon your order so make sure you plan ahead if you have a deadline.

Note: each piece of Bangalow inflorescence varies from one piece to the next. They dry different shades, will be a different shape, have different number and sizes of single branches. Each stem & bunch is unique.
